What should I wear?
We first and foremost want you to be comfortable. But if our dads are being asked to give up their sweatpants for an evening (and we applaud them for doing so), we’d appreciate it if you did, too. Otherwise, we’ll hear about it for the rest of time…
We expect most guests will wear cocktail attire, but please feel free to interpret that as you wish.
The Barn is not temperature controlled, so we are slightly at the mercy of the weather. Historically, the average temperatures in mid-September have been 50°F/69°F, so we are hoping for a crisp, cool evening.
TL/DR: Shoot for cocktail attire, but please feel free to take some liberties. Wear comfortable shoes. Check the weather.
By When should I RSVP?
Please kindly RSVP by July 15th.
Are Children Invited?
It pains us to say that this party is for adults only. We know this might be an inconvenience for some, and are very sorry.
What else is there to do around here?
If you’re looking to flesh out your weekend, you’re in luck! Somerset has some great nearby options:
-
Ohiopyle State Park is about a 10 minutes drive from The Barn at Fallingwater, and about 30 minutes way from Seven Springs. It’s a great place to hike, bike, kayak, or white water raft.
-
Ligonier Country Market is one of the largest farmer’s markets in the area, a great way to spend a Saturday morning. You can grab coffee and breakfast at one of the various food trucks, and then trek up the street to the town’s, which gives Stars Hollow vibes. Pro-tip: When you’re done snagging a sweet treat from Scamps, pop into Joe’s taxidermy bar for a beer.
-
If you’re a fan of architecture, you might be interested to know that the area is home to several Frank Lloyd Wright houses, including Fallingwater and Polymath Park. Each location offers tours, although reservations are required.
-
The International Conservation Center, which is located on nearly 1,000 acres of rolling hills in Somerset, PA, is an extension of the Pittsburgh Zoo that provides the perfect landscape to focus on conservation science, wildlife management and recovery, and education. The animals that live here contribute to the preservation of their wild counterparts and help tell the story of hope and survival into the future. The ICC offers tours and encounters with elephants every Saturday. Reservations are required.

Can i visit Fallingwater While I'm Out here?
Yes! Fallingwater offers tours, but reservations are required. If you are interested, please let us know when you RSVP. If there is enough interest, we will schedule a group tour on Saturday.
How do I get to the wedding venue?
The Barn at Fallingwater is about 20 minutes away from Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, or Ohio Pyle. It’s about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Pittsburgh. You are welcome to drive to the The Barn, where there is a parking lot available for guests.
Can I Uber?
Short answer, no. Uber doesn’t quite exist out in Mill Run, so we are offering shuttle services to and from Seven Springs. If you don’t want to worry about driving, we highly suggest staying at The Slopeside Hotel at Seven Springs. We'll be offering shuttle service between Seven Springs and the celebration.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Semi-formal. For the fellas this can be a suit, or a blazer and slack combo, but we aren't asking you to wear a tie. For ladies this can be any length of dress or a stylish jumpsuit. Pockets in either option are always encouraged. The most important for us is you embrace the party and feel yourself!
We've reserved a block of rooms at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, which is conveniently less than a mile from our wedding and reception venues.
Due to their heightened occupancy during the holiday season, we encourage you to book early to secure your room.
If you prefer alternative accommodations, there are several nearby options, including the Hampton Inn & Suites and the AC Hotel in the neighboring Strip District.
We kindly ask that you RSVP by Sunday, November 9th.
It pains us to say that this party is for adults only. We know this might be an inconvenience to some, and given the reception venue, more than a little ironic. We are very sorry.
